Beck
Beck was a Patreon supporter of Greg and Kai's who flew out to their home in 2017.
**During the events in this article, Kai went by the nicknames "Lainey" or "Lain" and did not yet identify as a trans man. The writing in this article will reflect Kai's current name and pronouns, but images, quotes, and videos will not.
Beginning
Beck says she found Greg through a recommended video when she was 20. She found Kai's channel through Greg's videos and immediately became enamored with them and would watch their videos every day. Beck says she was unaware of the allegations against Greg at the time and saw him as a charismatic person that didn't give a fuck about what people said about him.
Beck joined Greg's Patreon and began interacting with Greg though his Discord voice chat. She began interacting with Kai though his Younow streams. She never had experience with streamers before and she found it exciting Youtube celebrities were interacting with her. Beck says she found Kai attractive eventually she wanted to be romantic with him, so she began frequently donating to Kai's Younow streams to get his attention. Beck estimates she donated about $200 to $300 total. (Source)
Beck recorded and uploaded a song she wrote for Kai on July 26, 2017. (Source) The song has since been deleted, but a summary of the songs exists from an Anti-O blog: In her song “A Like-Song for Lainey” she says that she is “gay” for [Kai]. And tries to win [Kai] over. Says she wants to kiss [Kai] and that she understands they’ve been hurt and betrayed, and wants to commit to them. She says she is infatuated with [Kai] and has a huge crush on them. And that she hopes to restore [Kai]’s trust in them, for some reason. (Source) Due to this song and her frequent donations to Kai's Younow, she was labeled as a Kai fangirl.
According to Beck, Kai and Greg loved the song and Kai told her he wanted to see where things go so they began speaking privately. She says she named it "A Like-Song" because she didn't want to call it a "love" song.
Beck says after being contacted by Kai, she was talking to Greg almost every day and was speaking with Kai through texts and streams. (Source)
On August 6, 2017, an anonymous user posted to the gossip imageboard lolcow claiming Beck was going to Greg and Kai's home, but Kai was aware. They said readers might not believe them, but they'll see on the 16th. The poster also provided a screen shot of a conversation between Beck and Kai. They claimed the screen shot looks weird because they were only able to pull keylogs. In the screen shot, Kai was upset Greg never tells him anything. Beck says she assumed he told Kai. Kai asks when it is and Beck replies the 6th to the 15th. Beck asks Kai if he's ok with her visiting. Many readers were suspicious of the legitimacy of the screen shots. The user replied with another screen shot of a conversation seemingly between Beck and Kai. (Admin note: I am assuming this is supposed to be Kai and Beck because the original file name was "laineytwitter2_screen.png".) They spoke about video games and Kai tells Beck "Maybe we'll be able to play together sometime :]" (Source)
That same day, Beck uploaded another song. This time it was an "I'm sorry" song for Greg and Kai. This songs had been deleted as well, but most of the lyrics were saved:
"I'm Sorry" lyrics |

Hey Gregory and Lainey
I know you think I'm crazy Our music tastes Hey Lainey and Gregory So here is a friendship CV I'm a cost efficient, truth insistent, persistent girl I take myself (?) as I'm meant to please Hey Gregory and Lainey |
Visit
According to Beck, Greg invited her to his and Kai's home to do camerawork for him. She says she had no experience with a camera and knew it was just an excuse to have her over. (Source)
On August 7th, Beck tweeted, "There will be shaving cream in my ear for the rest of my life and I've accepted it". Some speculated this could be a hint at a new video with Greg since he uploaded a video of himself covered in shaving cream the week before. (Source) Suspicions were soon confirmed when Greg posted an update to Patreon titled "I Flew A Patreon Out :)". The post featured a new video dubbed "Cream People" featuring himself and Beck covered in shaving cream. (Source) The video starts out with Greg driving to the airport. He says he's on his way to pick up a human he's going to be working with. It cuts to himself and Beck in his home and he introduces Beck. They open a box from a fan together, then play Smash Bros together. The video ends with Greg and Beck covered in shaving cream and screaming while doing various activities. The video was uploaded to his main channel the next day under the title "What Onision Does With His Fans (Shaving Cream)". ($ource) Some viewers were shocked Greg and Beck were so physical with each other during the shaving cream scenes, mainly because Beck was wearing a bikini and Greg was wearing boxer trunks. (Source)
Beck later claimed when prepping for the shaving cream scenes she asked Greg to put shaving cream on her back and Greg "felt up her ass". She says she wasn't uncomfortable about it at the time because she was hoping to get into a relationship with Greg and Kai, but looking back she feels it was inappropriate. She believes Greg should have not done that when he had a partner. She says while filming, Greg asked if she wanted to do a power bomb. She says they were both wrestling fans, so she said yes without fully thinking about what a power bomb was. He picked her up, put her crotch in his face, then slammed her onto the trampoline. She says she tried to bring up the incident to Kai jokingly at dinner, but Kai immediately told her, "we don't talk about that." (Source)
The same day Greg uploaded the Patreon video, Beck also appeared on Greg's Younow stream. (Source) During her stay, Beck continued to appear on Greg's Younow and in his videos. At this time, both Greg and Kai would each stream on Younow daily, usually one would start their stream right after the other ended theirs. Some viewers thought it was strange Beck would appear in Greg's streams, but not in Kai's streams afterword. Many suspected Kai did not get along with Beck. When Greg and Beck were asked about this on a stream, Greg said they get along decently and play Mario Kart every night.
Although it was now confirmed what the anonymous user said about Beck visiting was true, many people still did not believe the screen shots were not real due to sketchy visual details in the image. The images were brought onto Kai's discord server where users discussed them further. Kai replied to the discussion, "That is me. It's real." (Source) Kai soon took to Younow and expressed they he "high key" wanted to die because he was tired of people breaking his trust. (Source) On the stream, he says Greg did tell him he was going to fly out Beck, but never told him when he would do it or that he bought the tickets. He also blamed Beck for leaking their conversations.
While Kai was streaming, Beck took to Discord to live post about clogging Greg and Kai's toilet. (Source) Because of this, during his stream, Kai was bombarded with comments about Beck and the toilet. Some viewers telling Kai to help Beck while others made fun of the situation.
On August 12, 2017, Greg uploaded an Onision sketch video with Beck based on her clogging Greg and Kai's toilet. The video had the clickbait title "Watch Before I Delete This Video" and clickbait thumbnail of Greg laying over Beck, seemingly about to kiss her. ($ource, Thumbnail)
Beck claims when they were filming the scene where Greg's face was close to hers, their lips touched. She did not know if it was on purpose. She said she was freaking out when this happened because she did not want to break up a marriage. (Source)
People speculated Beck may had paid Greg to collaborate with him. At that time, Greg had a $750 Patreon tier for fans to collaborate with him in videos. When asked about it on twitter, Beck confirmed she did not pay for that tier and says it was generous of Greg and Kai to fly her out for collaborating. Beck credits her "relentless perusing" of Kai for being flown out. She says she had a crush on Kai and wrote a song and sent presents until she was noticed. When asked if she was dating Kai, Beck said no but she wishes she was. (Source) When told by another fan not to fall for Greg, Beck replied she was not planning on it and she thought it was funny everyone thinks she's in love with him. She says she came for Kai. (Source)
Some viewers believed it was unfair Greg flew out Beck to collaborate with him while other Patreons have to pay. For example, his Patreon Tomato Bisquette paid Greg $1,000 through Patreon to collaborate with him earlier that year.
On August 15th, it was noted during his Younow stream, Kai seemed to imply he rejected Beck romantically because he now has zero tolerance for illegal drug users in any form. This is most likely in reference to issues Kai and Greg were having with their on and off girlfriend Billie, who Greg and Kai accused of lying about smoking illegally. It was speculated Beck made the "I'm Sorry" song because Kai found out Beck smoked. This is due to the lines in the song, "But please know I'm more than, How I've dealt with pain." Beck later confirmed this speculation. She claimed before she was flown out, a former moderator of Greg's Discord server messaged Greg and informed him she used to smoke weed. She said Greg told her he would still fly her out, but this will be the last time she will visit. He told her if she really was sorry, she would have to do something big. This is why she wrote the "I'm Sorry" song for Greg and Kai. (Source)
Beck says while she was there, Greg was very nice to her and they spent a lot of time together. She says he told her he didn't feel like he was talking to a 20-year-old, he felt like he was talking to someone who is the same age as him (Greg was 31 at this time). Kai, on the other hand, was cold to her and would avoid being in the same room as her.
Beck claims once when Kai and Sarah were playing around and "Naruto running" upstairs, Greg looked at her and said, "if Kai were acting like this when I first met him, I wouldn't have married him." She said this made her feel very close to him and that Kai did not know he said this. (Source)
Return Home
On August 16, 2017, Beck posted a video of her dogs to Instagram with the caption that she had missed them. Since during her stay she'd post photos of Greg and Kai's dogs, LeeLu and Dobbs, viewers took this as an indication Beck was now home. Greg also tweeted, "I'm sad. ☺" that same day. (Source)
After returning home, Beck revealed on discord she was avoiding watching Kai's streams because she didn't want to hear Kai talk shit about her. (Source)
Although Beck's hopes of dating Kai did not work out, she continued being a loyal Patreon supporter of Greg's.
Friction
Beck says after the visit, she no longer spoke to Kai, but continued her friendship with Greg. She says their friendship was great until she began disagreeing with him privately. She says the first incident was when she told him it was wrong of him to make a video criticizing Shane Dawson's weight. Eventually things began getting so tense between them in discord that she would stop going to calls. (Source)
Grammar Nazi
In early 2018, Greg began exclusively releasing chapters of his new book Reaper's Creek to Patreon. Early chapter releases were received with a lot of criticism, particularly in what seemed to be a lack of editing. For example, in the first chapter (as well as others), the main characters' name inexplicably changes from Daniel to Greg. On February 2, 2018, Beck offered to edit chapters for Greg for free. This caused a heated discussion in his Patreon comments where Greg defended his writing, saying he liked it the way it was. He accused Beck of implying his writing was not good enough and tells her to stop reading if she does not like his book. Beck apologized and tried to clarify she did not think his writing was bad and she only wanted to proofread for him. Greg quotes her saying his writing feels sloppy and tells her to stop commenting. (Source, original comment to the right)
Greg continued ranting on twitter, "I don't play by your rules & if that is a problem: dont fukin reed muh book, thx". He also retweeted a tweet from 2015 saying something similar, originally in response to criticism of his book Stones To Abbigale. (Source) Greg also retweeted a tweet from 2012 that said "Grammar Nazis should be sent to death camps." (Source)
Later that day, Greg wrote a post to his Patreon that included a video under the title "I Want You To Be Happy". In the post, he explains people are not happy with his book. He wants to make his Patreon supporters happy, but he also wants to continue creating something that represents him and his imperfections. He says if you are concerned with grammar, you can read other books. (Source)
In the video, Greg announces sometimes he is "real" with his Patreons and doesn't hold back even though it comes off as rude. He says he doesn't mean to be rude because he appreciates them, but he read a comment that "got to my core" (Beck's). He says he writes books for a small audience that would appreciate them, not the masses. He does not worry about grammar because to him writing is an art and we shouldn't be serious about it. He said a lot of people said his books are awesome and did not comment on the grammar. He said the person he is making the video about said they were trying to be helpful, yet they called his work was "sloppy". (He stops speaking to make a confused face.) He said his tweets were his "restraintful" response to this comment, trying not to offend anybody. He says he would rather have almost no one read his book than hand it over to an editor to modify his book. He asks his audience not to buy his books if they care about grammar. ($ource)
Beck defended herself in the Youtube comments of Greg's video saying she was not trying to be malicious and only wanted to help with his book. She said she felt like Greg's "grammar Nazis should be sent to death camps" tweet was fucked up because she told Greg she was a grammar Nazi two weeks prior. (Source)
Fight
In July 2018, Greg got into a public fight with his and Kai's ex-friend Madison. Greg took to twitter to attack Madison, accusing her of hating him all along. Beck replied to Greg and defended Madison, saying Madison never said she hated Greg. Beck also showed evidence of Madison saying she did not hate him. Beck was met with a lot of replies from Anti-Onision twitter accounts. She defended Greg from their claims and said he's a good father and she never saw him call Kai names, like others have accused Greg of. Greg took notice to Beck's tweet and replied, "Listen Beck, I'm really sorry you're still upset Lainey didn't want to be with you despite you writing a long song to them/throwing yourself at them, but that is no excuse to try to defend a girl you have never met over the people who rejected your attempts to date them." Beck replies, saying that was not related to the discussion and she knows he's just truing to hurt her and it won't work. She states she's defending Madison and not attacking him.
When asked why she still respects and supports him even though he is trying to hurt her she replies she knows he's lashing out and she believes he'll come around. When it was brought up that this wasn't the first time he tried to publicly humiliate her, she says she was hurt the first few times it happened, but now she is over it. She says she knows who she is and she's not going to let it get to her.
Greg continues, "Do you know what "supporter" means? It doesn't = talking trash about you every other week only to play victim when they fight back." Beck replies that she does not talk trash about him every other week and can only recall three instances where she did. She says all three were from a place of hurt. She says she defends him more than she badmouths him, but he only see the negatives. She asks him to please remember everyone is not out to get him and she was not "starting crap" with him. (Source)
Later that day, Greg streamed on Younow while speaking with his Patreons over discord voice chat. Beck requested to talk with him. Greg maintains his stance that Beck was siding with someone in a situation she knew nothing about. Greg says it's obvious Beck chisels away at people over time and accuses her of consistently posting passive aggressive tweets and comments. He says he wants to make it clear, Kai has a huge problem with anyone that is even remotely supportive of someone that against him. He says Madison said she was sorry to Sam, who he says tried to ruin Kai's life by attempting to kiss him. He says Kai was done with Madison when she showed support for Sam, and now Beck showed support for Madison. He tells Beck she doesn't know what the fuck she's talking about. He says Madison said she was uncomfortable filming a video with him, but did not indicate she was uncomfortable while filming. He compares this to a woman accusing a man of sexual assault after she did not express she was uncomfortable. He emphasizes this is how things are in 2018 and many of his Patreons in the voice chat agree.
Beck, now crying, tells Greg she did not see Madison's video as a calculated attack against Greg. Greg interrupts her and accuses her of being manipulative by crying. He tells her if she feels like she's going to cry during an argument, she should have the discussion later. He tells her to email him because she can express her feelings, but it's not fair when one person is emotional and the other isn't. He tells his Patreons it's weird Beck wanted to have this discussion on Discord and not through email. (Source)
End
By the end of 2018, Beck was no longer a Patron of Greg's.
On January 2, 2020, Beck appeared on Chris Hansen's livestream to speak about her time at Greg and Kai's home. She emphasized she was not a victim, but a witness, and came on the show to give Sarah more credibility.
When speaking about her relationship with Kai, Beck speculates that Kai is actually monogamous and thinks it may have been Greg who encouraged Kai to message her to tell her he's interested in her. She also points out Greg was the one who bought her plane ticket without Kai knowing. When asked by Chris Hansen if she believed Greg uses Kai to lure in young girls into the house, she agreed and said that's why she went. (Source)
